About Us

Our range of helpful accessories began, when, in the mid 1990s, our Founder and Managing Director, Gary, was studying an Open University course, and finding all that reading literally a pain in the neck. A physiotherapist advised him to use a bookholder to help with posture, and dutifully he went and bought one (after a long search). He realised how wonderful such a product could be, if better designed – for all sorts of applications – and the award-winning quirkily shaped deckchair shaped Bookchair® soon followed. The response was very enthusiastic, and opened up the possibility of offering a complete range of other useful products for anyone who enjoys reading and writing.

Almost all of our products are our own designs, and we pride ourselves on the high quality offered, with many being the market leaders in their own categories.

And just in case it all looks a bit too serious, we have lots of fun and impulse products too!
